FFESSM/CMAS

CONTENT OF FEDERAL TRAINING: FFESSM/CMAS

The FFESSM/CMAS training courses are divided into two parts:

  • Training (PE) or supervised divers: At the end of their training, they will evolve in exploration under the supervision of an instructor.
  • The divers (PA) or autonomous divers: At the end of their training, they will be able to evolve in autonomous with other autonomous divers under the responsibility of a diving director without the presence of a supervisor in immersion until the limit of their prerogatives.

For any training, when you register, we will subscribe or renew your license (civil liability), before the beginning of the training. These dives are carried out within the framework of a secure organization, set up by a Director of Diving (DP), according to the rules defined by the Code of Sport (CdS). For all FFESSM/CMAS training courses, with the exception of PE12, a medical certificate stating that there are no contraindications to the practice of scuba diving and a valid license (less than one year old) are required.

The different trainings

PE12 : Supervised Diver 12m

You are a beginner, or you have done one or more first dives, you want to do some dives during your stay, without committing to a training course, from 12 years old the PE12 allows you to do supervised exploration dives, progressively evolving in the 0 to 12m zone without a license and medical certificate. Two technical dives with some exercises in the 0 to 6 m zone and then an exploration dive at 12 m will be enough to obtain the PE12 certification.

Diver Level 3 (PA60) + RIFAP

Unfortunately, the club does not have sufficient means to validate the adaptation to depth, so we are unable to offer this training.

A follow-up of a PA40 is possible. It will be enough for you to validate the “adaptation to depth” in another club in order to acquire a complete autonomy in the 40m to 60m zone.

Children’s diving

The young divers courses are intended for minors under 14 years old. Scuba diving can only be practiced from 8 years old.
Prerequisite to follow the courses :

      • The prior written authorization of the minor’s legal guardian
      • The child’s FFESSM license
      • A certificate of absence of contraindication to diving.
  • The Bronze Diver from 8 to 14 years old:
The Bronze Diver is an initiation level to the evolution of diving with a scuba in the 0-6 m space. The young diver discovers the equipment ” vest, tank, regulator “. He actively participates in the use of his equipment. He understands and applies the instructor’s instructions allowing him to evolve in safety during descent, at the bottom and during ascent. He/she knows how to ventilate on the regulator and how to deal with water entering the mask without apprehension.

  • The Silver Diver from 8 to 14 years:
The silver diver is a level of improvement in the evolution of diving with a scuba in the space 0-6m. It allows the student to progressively integrate mixed groups (with teenagers or adults N1 and above). The student becomes more and more autonomous in the implementation and use of his equipment. He learns different techniques that allow him to get into the water and to dive. He/she manages his/her balance during immersion. He empties his mask without stress. He/she is familiar with procedures in case of an incident (air shortage, loss of the group).

  • The Golden Diver:
The Golden Diver opens the doors to scuba diving in the 0-12m (10-12 years) and 0-20m (12-14 years). The young diver is thus able to carry out exploration dives within a guided group, taking charge of the equipment and the evolution. The expected skills correspond to those of level 1, including the specific skills required to evolve in safety.
